Workshop: "An Akka kata for Green Belts"

Akka is a toolkit and runtime for building highly concurrent, distributed, and fault-tolerant event-driven applications on the JVM.
During this tutorial you will get an overview of the main concepts and ideas in Akka as well as get your hands dirty with some actual Akka coding in Scala.
 
The tutorial consists of three parts: Akka conceptual overview (1h), the kata (1.5h), solution proposal presentation and Q&A (30 min). 
Participants should bring laptops with pre-installed Akka kata scaffolding - more information can be found here:

Tutorial objectives:
This tutorial will give the participant a good enough understanding of Akka to be able to solve real-world (programming) problems. 
After these 3 hours you will be an examined green belt Akka developer.

During these years his main focus has been on highly transactional systems within the finance, retail and online e-gambling industries. 
He is currently based in Sweden and works in the Akka team.
